Over 25 years ago, a German professional association for IT auditors was founded in Germany. On 14 April 1986, the ‘German Chapter of the EDP Auditors Association’ was founded in Düsseldorf (link to history) and became part of the international professional association ISACA. Today, ISACA Germany Chapter e.V. (renamed in 1994) is the German professional association for IT auditors, IT security managers and IT governance experts with more than 2,500 members.

Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand e.V. (BITMi) represents over 2,500 IT companies, making it the largest alliance exclusively for Tech SMEs in Germany.

The ISF is a leading authority on information security and risk management. Our research, practical tools and guidance are used by our Members to overcome the wide-ranging security challenges that impact their business today.

The German Cyber Security Council was founded in August 2012 by some renowned personalities as a politically neutral association. The German Cyber Security Council is based in Berlin, its objective is to consult businesses, government agencies and political decision-makers and to support them against cybercrime.

Frankfurt Main Finance was founded in 2008 as the voice of the financial centre Frankfurt in Germany and the Eurozone.
